Hi, I’m Claudia Louis-Marie. I am a professional makeup artist in New Zealand and I truly love what I do - makeup artistry is my passion.
I get asked all the time how to pronounce my surname, which is Louis-Marie. Louis is pronounced exactly the same as Louis Vuitton (a silent ‘s’), so Louis-Marie! It’s from my Seychellois side which is why it sounds French. Now that you know my name, let me tell you a little bit more about myself;
With over 7 years experience in the makeup industry, I freelance across weddings, editorial shoots, commercial & events.
Weddings; my absolute favourite. Where every Bride should feel like her most beautiful self. I work with your natural beauty to enhance and showcase your favourite features. Whether the brief is a natural, radiant glow, or something more glam - I will always create a modern, fresh and timeless makeup suited to you and your unique beauty.
I am also a qualified Yumi Artist and offer lash lifts and bespoke brow services from my Awanui studio during the week.
I reside in Awanui and also have a base in Auckland, plus I regularly cover many locations in between. I am able to travel anywhere in New Zealand and sometimes internationally.
I have a team of superb artists who work under me, so if I am already booked I can arrange for one of them to take the lead for your big day.
My work has been published in Together Journal & other magazines, and featured on the cover of Parris Goebel’s autobiography.
